About Brian C. E. Buhl

If you haven’t guessed from the egomaniacal placement of my name on this site, my name is Brian C. E. Buhl.

I’m a full-time programmer living in Northern California.  I used to play alto saxophone in the Rancho Cordova River City Concert Band.  I’ve been married about 25 years, and I have two grown children.

I write part time, focusing on science fiction and fantasy.  I’ve been writing off and on for more than 30 years.  My short story, Unclaimed Goods, is coming out in The Goldilocks Zone by Flying Ketchup Press in the fall of 2019.  I would very much like to get some of my novels traditionally published.  I remain both hopeful and realistic about that happening.

This blog is mostly about my writing, and my journey of changing from a guy with a writing hobby, to a professional author.  This is my open journal and a peek into my life, so occasional non-literary topics will pop up from time to time.
