About Brian C. E. Buhl

If you haven’t guessed from the egomaniacal placement of my name on this site, my name is Brian C. E. Buhl.

I’m a full-time programmer living in Northern California.  I used to play alto saxophone in the Rancho Cordova River City Concert Band.  I’ve been married almost 30 years, and I have two grown children.

I write part time, focusing on science fiction and fantasy. My novel The Repossessed Ghost was published by Water Dragon Publishing in 2023.  The follow-up novelette set in the same world, The Psychic on the Jury, was published in 2024.  One For the Road, a separate and sweet short story, is also available from the same press, all of which can be found on Amazon.

I’ve been writing off and on for more than 30 years.  I have other stories ready to publish, many short and a few novels, and I’m constantly writing more.  It is not an exaggeration when I say that writing keeps me sane.

This blog is mostly about my writing, and my journey of changing from a guy with a writing hobby, to a professional author.  This is my open journal and a peek into my life, so occasional non-literary topics will pop up from time to time.
